There were two stabbings last week at RTS. The public deserve to know what RTS is doing to prevent something like this from happening again. Are you increasing security and are you working with the Rochester Police Department to protect the public? There must be more police precense to protect the passengers before something else happens.
Its warm in the winter. Cool in summer. The busses run normally but the busses arrive to and leave from stops early. Thats a transit NoNo. A few minutes late is better than 90 seconds early. Certain drivers then pull to the curb to get back on schedule; which makes it seem as though the route is going as scheduled. . What about the person that was getting to the stop 30 seconds ahead of time? Ive been that person that has had to watch a bus pass by my stop SEVERAL times. Today; Jan 31 2019; the driver arrived at the VA stop 4 minutes early and left 3 minutes early but then waited just across the street for 5 minutes to get back on time. . Also she began to pull away from the stop before I could take 2 steps toward the back. YO! Disabled Vet here! Show some respect and whats your hurry anyway? Youre early.
It's a heck of a lot better than waiting for the bus in front of the liberty Pole!
The building is clean, but could use a few extra amenities like an ATM or a coffee shop (similar to other transit centers). My main complaint is the reps at the cucustom service stations. They are typically pretty cold and unfreindly, sometimes just rude. RTS customer service in general leaves much to be desired, so in that regard, the reps fit in quite nicely.
Ive seen Rochester Transit come along way from when they tried to heat hundreds of people with those little green huts to warm millions a day with that Transit Center. We (Patrons &Employees) go through alot as we pass by but were safe Thank you Rochester .Will update pics on my next trip
